EveryRig 2.5.0 - every game, tuned automatically
==================================================
WHAT IT IS
A small Windows tray app that gives every game its own tune. When a game starts, EveryRig detects
it and applies that game's overclock, CPU settings, power plan and fan curve. When the game closes,
it puts everything back to stock. You never click anything while you play.
FREE AND PRO
Every new install gets 14 days of Pro. After that EveryRig keeps working as Free unless you add a key
(Settings -> License).
- Free: dashboard, tray temperatures, setup wizard, PC check, frame-rate measuring, session reports,
every safety guard, Help from Claude, GPU tuning, and automatic tuning for 3 games (the first three
you play - change them in Settings -> License) on the stock, mild, undervolt and hands-off stages.
- Pro: every game, every stage (sim, strong, max-oc, custom), Intel CPU tuning, launching games with
add-ons, VR hotkeys, frame caps, laptop battery mode, fast-GPU, export / import, stutter analysis.
Keys: type your key (EVRG-... or the key from your purchase email) in Settings -> License -> Activate.
One Pro license covers up to 2 of your PCs. It needs internet once, renews itself quietly and keeps
working offline for weeks.
WHAT IT DOES
Setup wizard
- Scans your GPU, CPU, RAM, motherboard, BIOS and Windows build, or you can type the specs in.
- Sizes every stage for your exact hardware at one of three levels: cautious, balanced or performance.
- Asks about your headset (Quest + Virtual Desktop, Quest Link, SteamVR or none) and whether you
mainly fly or drive sims.
Stages (one click per game, saved right away; each sets the GPU and the CPU together)
- stock ...... no changes
- mild ....... small, almost always stable overclock
- sim ........ for CPU-bound sims: mild GPU overclock, and the CPU holds its full boost with a light
undervolt
- strong ..... bigger GPU overclock for GPU-heavy games
- undervolt .. same performance with less heat and noise (clock cap / voltage drop)
- max-oc ..... the most the app allows on your hardware; test before relying on it
- hands-off .. for games with strict anti-cheat: the app changes nothing at all for that game (no
overclock, power plan, priority, frame measuring or RAM clean-up). It only watches
temperatures.
- custom ..... your own numbers
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 20/30/40/50 (GTX 10 partly) and AMD Radeon RX 6000/7000/9000. It sets core and memory
clock, power limit, undervolt, and fan curve.
CPU: Intel K/KF CPUs through Intel XTU 7.x: undervolt and power limits. There are extra limits for
13th/14th gen, which get no added voltage and no all-core overclock. Other CPUs show temperature
and power only.
Games
- Scan games finds Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store/Xbox, GOG, Meta and DCS games.
- Launch starts a game together with its add-ons (mods, TeamSpeak, map tools, anything). Each add-on
gets its own timer, before or after the game, and can close with the game.
- A game's profile turns on by itself however you start the game.
Frame rate (new in 2.4)
- The dashboard shows the running game's real frame rate. After each game the session report adds the
average fps, 1% and 0.1% lows, stutter spikes per minute and how busy the GPU was each frame.
- Measured with Intel PresentMon (free, open source). The app downloads it once (about 1 MB) from
Intel's official GitHub release and checks it is exactly Intel's file before using it. It runs
only while a game runs and uses about 1% of one CPU core. Switch: Settings -> Measure frame rate.
- VR games that draw straight into the headset (OpenXR / SteamVR) can't be measured this way. Use the
headset tool's own overlay for those (Virtual Desktop performance overlay, SteamVR frame timing).
Frame cap per game (NVIDIA, optional, off by default)
- Settings -> switch on "Frame caps (NVIDIA)", pick a game, type a limit (0 = none), Save.
- The cap is set inside the NVIDIA driver (the same setting as Max Frame Rate in the NVIDIA app). It
takes effect the next time the game starts. Switching Frame caps off removes the caps again.
- A cap a little under your average fps gives smoother frames, less heat and less noise.
- AMD cards: use Radeon Chill in the AMD software instead.
Laptops
- Quiet tune on battery: while unplugged, games get the cooler "undervolt" stage and the Balanced
power plan. As soon as you plug in, they are back on their own stage.
- Games use the fast GPU: on PCs with two graphics chips, each game is set to the fast graphics card
in Windows' own graphics settings (from the game's next start). PCs with one card aren't changed.
PC check (sidebar)
- Finds the everyday things that cost more speed than any overclock: monitor running below its best
refresh rate, XMP/EXPO off, old BIOS or graphics driver, Memory Integrity, an almost full drive,
programs using CPU in the background, a slow Ethernet link or VPN, and Windows gaming settings.
- It only looks. Fix buttons open the right Windows page. "Windows tweaks" is in there too (Game Mode,
Game DVR, GPU scheduling, driver lock), and each tweak can be switched back.
Safety
- Backs off the GPU clock when it gets hot.
- A GPU driver crash lowers that game's overclock.
- A CPU hardware error puts that game's CPU back to stock.
- An unexpected reboot while overclocked switches to safe mode.
- There are hard limits on voltage, and a crash always reboots to stock.
Monitoring
- Gauges for GPU and CPU temperature, load, power, clocks, fans, VRAM, RAM, frame rate and a
"bottleneck" readout. Two live temperature icons sit in the tray.
Extras
- Fans 100%, Free RAM (automatic at game start), VRAM & cache viewer.
- VR hotkeys with spoken confirmation in the headset. They work inside the game, with the headset on:
Ctrl+Shift+F9 Fans 100% on / off
Ctrl+Shift+F10 Free RAM
Ctrl+Shift+F11 Stage down for the running game
Ctrl+Shift+F12 Stage up for the running game
Change them in Settings -> Change VR hotkeys.
- A warning when a slow Ethernet link or a VPN would hurt VR streaming.
Settings (sidebar)
- Every switch in one place: auto-detect, start with Windows, auto free RAM, VR hotkeys + voice,
session reports, network warning, 1-second logs, tooltips, measure frame rate, frame caps, fast GPU,
quiet tune on battery.
- Also: temperatures in F or C, the GPU temperature limit, the free-RAM level, the per-game frame cap,
the VR hotkeys, the CPU control list, and this read me.
- Export profiles / Import profiles: save all your games, stages, add-ons and settings to one file, or
load them back (for example on a new PC). The app also keeps an automatic daily backup of the last
14 days in the "backups" folder.
Logs
- After every game session of 2 minutes or longer it writes a session report: temperatures, clocks,
frame rate, what held the game back (GPU, CPU, power limit or heat) and a stage suggestion.
- It also keeps 1-second logs.
WORKING WITH CLAUDE (AFTER INSTALL AND AFTER YOU PLAY)
1. Play a few sessions on the stage EveryRig picked.
2. Click "Help from Claude" in the sidebar. It saves one zip on your desktop with:
- hardware scan, PC check, profiles and settings
- session reports (with frame rate and stutter numbers) and recent logs
- each game's own settings files (for example MSFS UserCfg.opt, DCS options.lua, ATS config.cfg),
plus the end of its logs and crash logs where the game keeps them
- which upscaler and mod files (DLSS, OptiScaler, ReShade...) sit in each game's folder
The app sends nothing anywhere; you decide what to upload.
3. Go to claude.ai (the free plan works), attach the zip and say what you want: "check my setup",
"MSFS stutters in VR", "can I push the GPU further?", "why does ATS crash?".
If the zip won't attach, unzip it and attach pc-report.txt, profiles.json and the files in the
sessions and games folders instead.
4. Claude doesn't only change clocks. It uses what held each game back to choose the fix:
- CPU-bound: lower CPU-heavy game settings (LOD, traffic, shadows) and use frame generation.
More GPU clock won't help.
- GPU-bound and cool: a higher stage, or a lighter upscaler mode.
- Hot or power-limited: undervolt, or a frame cap.
- Stutter spikes or low 1% lows: shader cache, background apps, mods, streaming settings.
- VRAM full or crashing: lower textures, or remove a heavy mod or injector.
- VR: foveated rendering / Quad Views, OpenXR Toolkit, Virtual Desktop codec and bitrate,
network link, VPN.
- Windows and hardware: refresh rate, XMP, BIOS, driver, background apps.
It names the exact game settings to change and gives you any profile edits. Apply those with
Edit profiles -> paste -> save -> Reload.
5. Change one thing at a time and play a few sessions before the next step.
Tip: a crash that repeats at the same spot with EveryRig at stock is a game or mod problem, not the
overclock. Claude will tell you which.

INSTALL (standalone - it runs from its own folder and nothing is installed into Windows)
Needs: Windows 10/11 64-bit. For Intel CPU tuning, also Intel XTU 7.14; the app tells you if it's
missing.
1. Download EveryRig-Setup-2.5.0.exe from everyrig.org/download and run it.
Windows SmartScreen may warn you because the app isn't signed: click More info -> Run anyway.
Say Yes to the admin prompt, which is needed to change GPU/CPU settings.
2. This read me and the terms open first, every time you install or update. Read them and click
I accept (Cancel stops the install).
3. Click Install. It copies itself into its own folder:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\EveryRig
Its settings, profiles, logs and a copy of this README.txt all stay in that one folder. Nothing goes
into Program Files and no services are added. It only adds a Start-menu shortcut, an optional
desktop shortcut and an entry in Apps.
Optional tickbox: the free PawnIO driver (official download) for motherboard fans and AMD CPU
temperatures. Untick it if you don't want it.
4. EveryRig starts and opens the setup wizard. Answer the questions, click Scan games, then run
"Test all" once. It applies every stage, checks each one and puts everything back.
5. Switch on "Start with Windows" if you want it running all the time (it sits in the tray).
UPDATE: EveryRig says when an update is out - click it, or run the newer setup. Profiles are kept.
A PC that still has Sim Tuner (EveryRig's old name) gets its profiles moved over.
BACKUP: Settings -> Export profiles, or copy the whole EveryRig folder. Daily backups are in "backups".
UNINSTALL: Settings -> Apps -> EveryRig -> Uninstall, or exit the app and delete the folder.
NO-INSTALL MODE: run "EveryRig-Setup-2.5.0.exe --portable" from any folder. It runs from that folder.

TERMS OF USE
By clicking "I accept" and using EveryRig you agree to the following:
1. EveryRig is licensed, not sold. EveryRig Free may be used on any number of your own PCs. A Pro key
or license code is for the person it was issued to, on at most 2 of their own PCs.
2. Allowed: installing and using it yourself, and uploading its Help from Claude report (or its files)
to Claude to get help with your own tune.
3. Not allowed: sharing or selling keys, cracking or bypassing the licensing, or copying, selling or
redistributing the program outside the official download at everyrig.org.
4. Overclocking and undervolting are at your own risk. EveryRig keeps changes modest and reversible,
and everything returns to stock when a game closes or the app exits, but no setting is guaranteed
to be stable on every PC. The program is provided "as is", without any warranty. The author is not
liable for damage, data loss, crashes or other problems from using it.
5. Windows SmartScreen may warn you because the program isn't code-signed. That is expected.
6. Third-party parts keep their own licenses: LibreHardwareMonitor (MPL 2.0) for sensors, Intel
PresentMon (MIT, downloaded from Intel's official GitHub release) for frame rates, and the PawnIO
driver (downloaded from its official source only if you tick it at install).
7. Privacy: EveryRig only contacts everyrig.org to activate a key, check for updates, keep the 14-day
trial from restarting, and send bug reports you choose to send. It sends the key, a machine code (a
scrambled ID from the PC's hardware, not a serial number), the app version and the PC's name - and
for a bug report what you typed and the logs it shows you first. No ads, analytics or tracking.
